تیموتی فراخوان می دهد: رشد تولید ناخالص داخلی اوگاندا از سال 1986 - اصلاح شده توسط رئیس جمهور Museveni

رئیس جمهور یووری موسوینی در مراسم دیروز به مناسبت سی و ششمین سالگرد به قدرت رسیدن NRM گفت که تولید ناخالص داخلی اوگاندا از سال 1986 تاکنون 31 برابر رشد کرده است.

این درست نیست.

اقتصاد اوگاندا در ژانویه 1986، زمانی که NRM به قدرت رسید، 4.2 میلیارد دلار بود.

با تعدیل تورم، 10.6 میلیارد دلار در دسامبر 2021 است. تولید ناخالص داخلی اوگاندا در پایان سال 2021 32.5 میلیارد دلار بود.

بنابراین اقتصاد یا تولید ناخالص داخلی اوگاندا از سال 1986 سه برابر رشد کرده است، نه 31 برابر، همانطور که رئیس جمهور موسوینی گفت.

اگر تولید ناخالص داخلی اوگاندا از سال 1986 31 برابر شده بود، امروز اوگاندا دومین اقتصاد بزرگ آفریقا خواهد بود، پس از تنها نیجریه و آفریقای جنوبی در رتبه سوم قرار می گرفتند.

جالب اینجاست که تولید ناخالص داخلی سرانه اوگاندا در سال 1985، یعنی سال قبل از به قدرت رسیدن NRM، 241.75 دلار بود.

با تعدیل تورم به دلار از سال 2022، این نرخ به ازای هر نفر 614 دلار است.

امروز، ژانویه 2022، تولید ناخالص داخلی سرانه اوگاندا 897 است.

بنابراین تولید ناخالص داخلی سرانه اوگاندا در سه دهه و نیم گذشته رشد چندانی نداشته است.

این ممکن است این عقیده رایج در میان مردم عادی را توضیح دهد که آنها در مورد این همه رشد اقتصادی چشمگیر می شنوند، اما آن را در جیب خود احساس نمی کنند.
